Dakota Autism Center

Dakota Autism Center is a center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our centers are run in a preschool-like setting and our programs are designed to assist with social communication, emotional regulation, school readiness, and transitioning skills.

Savage is a close-knit community of approximately 34,000 residents nestled along the Minnesota River in the south-southwest metro. With access to Hwy 13, County Road 42, and nearby I-35W, Savage connects easily to Minneapolis and neighboring communities like Burnsville, Prior Lake, and Shakopee. Savage students attend schools within the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District (ISD 191), which provides comprehensive educational services including special education support. Dakota Autism Center complements these school-based services with ABA therapy tailored to each child. Our BCBAs work with your family to set goals that reinforce classroom learning and help your child develop communication, social, and adaptive skills that transfer across home, school, and community settings.

Our Minneapolis center is approximately 18 miles northeast of Savage, reachable in about 25–35 minutes via Hwy 13 and I-35W. For families who prefer services closer to home, our in-home ABA therapists travel to Savage neighborhoods for convenient, consistent therapy sessions. EIDBI services are also available to eligible Savage families enrolled in Minnesota Medical Assistance, providing an additional pathway to early intervention.
