Dakota Autism Center

Dakota Autism Center is a center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our centers are run in a preschool-like setting and our programs are designed to assist with social communication, emotional regulation, school readiness, and transitioning skills.

Oakdale is an east-metro community of approximately 28,000 residents in Washington County, situated along the I-94 corridor between Maplewood and Woodbury. With its growing neighborhoods, proximity to outdoor recreation at Tartan Park, and easy access to both downtowns, Oakdale offers families a convenient suburban lifestyle. Dakota Autism Center is committed to serving Oakdale families with high-quality autism therapy.

Most Oakdale students attend schools within ISD 622 (North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale), a diverse district with strong special education programming. Our BCBAs can coordinate with school teams when families request it, helping to align therapy goals with your child's IEP. Oakdale families reach our Minneapolis center via I-94 or I-694 in approximately 20 minutes.

Our clinical team builds individualized treatment plans targeting communication, social interaction, self-regulation, and daily living skills — using evidence-based ABA methods with continuous data collection. Oakdale families also have access to EIDBI services through Dakota Autism Center for comprehensive developmental and behavioral intervention.
